The Institute leads in the field of sports and athletics in the state. Students have represented themselves at University, Zonal and National level in different sporting events. It is well equipped with gymnasium which has indoor basketball, table tennis and badminton courts. The gymnasium is surrounded by huge football, hockey, and cricket grounds. Apart from these the campus also has tennis, kabbadi and volleyball courts and an outdoor basketball court. Inter-branch tournaments are held regularly in the Institute to encourage the sportsman spirit. Apart from these, the Institute also organizes Inter University trials and tournaments in which IITs NITs Central Govt. and State Govt. as well as private universities from all over the country participate.

NSS

NSS-RTU is the UD, RTU’s chapter of the National Service Scheme, institutionalized under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India. The National Service Scheme lays down the path not only for a wholesome personality development but also prepares the students to be a responsible citizen during the student life. Their motto “Not Me, But You” instills among them the philosophy of the organization and inspires the volunteers to recognize the needs of others. The volunteers indulge in various social activities like blood donation, environmental awareness, cleanliness, afforestation etc. The ultimate goal of the scheme is to strive to inculcate the bond of patriotism, national integration, brotherhood, communal harmony among these volunteers.

NCC

To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideal of selfless service amongst the youth of the country, NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC) has been a part of the Institute since long. The aim is to create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the nation. It provides exposure to cadets in a wide range of activities with a distinct emphasis on social service, discipline and moral values. The activities include mock drills, parade, blood donation, adventure camps etc.

TEQIP

Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) was launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2002. It aims to upscale and support ongoing efforts in improving quality of technical education and enhancing existing capacities of institutions to become dynamic, demand-driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid economic and technological developments occurring both at national and international levels. The program was conceived and designed as a long-term project to be implemented in 10-12 years in 3 phases to support excellence and transformation in technical education in the country.

ED-CELL

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Rajasthan Technical University is a non-profit student body that aims at manifesting the latest entrepreneurial spirit of the young students with a vision to promote entrepreneurship. It targets to help the development of India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by enabling interaction between its major components; spanning students, entrepreneurs, mentors, angel investors, venture capital firms and corporate and support them by providing necessary resources such as seed funding, mentoring, consultancy and net- working. The cell collaborated with the Startup Oasis India to enhance the working efficiency of the cell.

INDEED

Established in May 2014, INDEED Foundation is convinced of the fact that education is the most efficient, potent, transformative and fundamental building block for rural children to break free from this vicious circle of illiteracy and poverty. It is a non-governmental organization working to improve the quality of education system, enhancing students’ performance by means of technology and volunteerism. Its volunteers regularly conduct teaching sessions in rural areas to realize the foundation’s vision.

RUSA

The Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) is the central government’s contribution to further the promise held by the rich expanse of India’s state universities. The country’s future lies in empowering the campuses with facilities to enhance learning, widen research horizon and promote innovation. RUSA understands that sometimes the most important lessons of life are learnt outside the classroom. So whether it is upgrading libraries or computer laboratories, promoting autonomous colleges or clubbing them to consolidate their strength.
