It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Petroleum Engineering, UD, RTU, Kota, India. Petroleum Engineering branch started with an intake of 30 in 2011-12 and Petrochemical Engineering branch started with an intake of 30 in 2013-14 to meet the local technical man power in oil and gas sector in Rajasthan and to increase the employability. The 4 Year B. Tech. Programme in Petroleum Engineering is based on integrated approach of relevant basic sciences and engineering and Oil & Gas industry technology operations and emphasis in the application of these knowledge base to exploration, drilling, production, and reservoir engineering. Many experts from petroleum industries and academic institutes such as ONGC, IRS, IITs NITs etc. are invited for delivering their lectures to students. The students of these programmes also got placed in reputed industries like Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Numalugarh Refinery Limited, Cairn Energy Barmer, Focus Energy Barmer, DCM Shree Ram Fertilizer Kota etc.
A students chapter of the “Society of Petroleum Engineer” and “Institution of Engineers (India)” have been established for the overall development of students.
