University Departments, Rajasthan Technical University is the leading institute of the state, based in Kota (Rajasthan). It was formerly known as Engineering College Kota (ECK). The institute was established in year 1981 (one of the oldest of the State) as a Government funded institute to exalt the technical education of the state.
UD, RTU Kota has been approved by AICTE and is known for its scholastic and intellectual prestige for the last 38 years. The main motto of the institute is ‘Shramev Jayate’, which means, Hard Work Always Wins. It is located near the banks of River Chambal, about 14 km from Kota railway station, on Rawatbhata road and has a sprawling campus of approximately 355 acres. It is the first university in Rajasthan to get IBM Centre of Excellence.
UD, RTU offers 11 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate courses leading to B.Tech. and M.Tech Degrees respectively. It also offers Ph.D. programs in various disciplines and MBA programs since 2007.
