The library is housed in two storied well equipped exclusive building. Its carpet area is 1100 Sq. meter. The Library is rich in all types of resources such as General Books, Text Books, Reference Books, Printed Journals, Online e-journals, e-Books, Databases, CDs etc. Library provides Subject Dissemination Services (SDI) to its users. Reference service is also available to its users. Library has Automated Books transaction facility and all the users are provided with bar-coded automated membership card.
The library provides sufficient number of desktops for browsing academic e-journals, e-books and other e-resources through institute high speed network. Wi-Fi facility is also available inside the library and its vicinity. The telecasting of Swayam Prabha channels has been made available in the library since January, 2018. Students can also access the online courses, online certification, webinars etc. available globally through the self-learning support systems.
Central library possess more than 1.0 lac books and every student is entitled for book lending facility from the library as well as Book bank.
The Central Library is a member of Indian National Digital Library in Engineering, Sciences and Technology & All India Council of Technical Education (INDEST-AICTE) Consortium, New Delhi for accessing e-journals . In addition to this, central library is also a member of Institute for Steel Development and Growth (INSDAG), KOLKATA for sharing its resources in the interest of faculty and students. Central Library is also a Member of Developing Library Network (DELNET) New Delhi for sharing the resources among its Member Libraries.
